Recently, I happened to witness a touching scene. A simple scene, yes, but I couldn't get it out of my head.
I saw a young woman assisting an elderly woman who could barely walk. It wasn't even the act; it was the patience and gentleness she exhibited as she helped the stranger down from the bus.
I kept thinking, wouldn't it be nice if there were a simple way to honor those who make that extra effort to help strangers?
My next thought, it wouldn't take much effort to print a sheet of cards to carry in my purse. I could use business cards. Then, in the future, I could give them out whenever I witnessed selfless acts.
When I told a friend about my idea, she responded, "I want some too."
So why not place the cards online. In this way, they will be available to everybody who wants them.
This is how U R My Hero! came about. I have cards that can be printed on a sheet of business card paper using any label software. I also have a version for the web that can be e-mailed to those you wish to honor.
